Project: Light Touch

WB Projects continue to be used by M&S to undertake refurbishments at their flagship Marble Arch store. Working in this dynamic environment presents challenges of speed, reliability and great communication, as much of the work is carried out during the trading day.

The most recent project was completed in the summer of 2008. New selling equipment was installed, sales floor lighting upgraded, some flooring replaced and sales floor areas were redecorated. In addition the customer fitting rooms and toilets were upgraded and the customer cafes refurbished and rebranded.

We are particularly proud of the deep clean of the whole of the external elevations. Through taking an innovative and creative approach to this complex element of the project we were able to complete the work during normal working hours without the need to close one of London's busiest shopping streets. The technique is extremely environmentally aware as the water is re-used as the work progresses.
