Project: Remodel

Marks & Spencer Sutton went through a major remodel between April and October 2007. The Upper and Lower sales floor was completely stripped out and re-modeled whilst maintaining a satisfactory shopping environment for their loyal customers. A new 80-seated "Café Revive" was installed with an integral Customer Toilet suite, which included all DDA requirements. Close care was given to re-using old plant where possible and the latest "Plan A" requirements were utilized where possible on the completed project.

In addition to this a new three bay Bureau offer with attached Customer Service Suite was introduced allowing for an efficient Refunds, Exchange and Customer Ordering environment.

The existing loose equipment and wall side paneling from both floors was replaced with new as per the latest design specification. New Fitting Room complexes were built for Menswear, Womenswear and Lingerie, all with DDA access and improved Garment Counting control measures Also four banks of four bay tills were installed with all the latest IT equipment.

The Food hall was completely re-vamped with a combination of new and re-conditioned fridge cases. All new ambient kit was installed with up to new food tills and a Coffee To Go offer to compliment the new Food Hall.

All Security and Access Controls were replaced with modern Digital PTZ Cameras and LCD Flat Screen Monitors.

Fire Alarm systems were completely replaced with a new addressable system linked into the RDM system.

The High Street frontage was altered to replace the two old entrances with new window displays and single large entrance with new external signage including a new Collect by Car area.
