Client: Marks & Spencer Staines
Project: Remodel
Marks & Spencer Staines store went through a major refit between May and September 2007 and introducing to the store environment the creation of a new Café Revive and associated Customer Toilet complex. The project value was £4.5 million with a programme time of 18 weeks.
In addition to this a Customer Service Suite was introduced allowing for an efficient Refunds, Exchange and Customer Ordering environment.
The old customer lift was replaced with a new Motor Roomless lift, utilising the existing shaft and adapting the old entrances.
New Fitting Room complexes were built for Menswear, Womenswear and Lingerie, to DDA compliance and improved Garment Counting control measures.
The Foodhall was totally modernised with replacement cold chain cases, high activity and belted tills. The cold aisle heating was introduced to combat the spill of cold air from the new cases. All of which was supported by the installation of a new low and high temperature cold store.
All security and access controls were replaced with modern Digital PTZ Cameras and LCD Flat Screen Monitors.
Fire Alarm systems were completely replaced with a new addressable system linked into the adjacent shopping mall and newly installed Smoke Extract System.
The High Street Shopfront was altered to form two window displays and new exterior signage along with the installation of a Collect By Car service.
